Oh, what an adventurous afternoon this was! The sweetest family, perfectly coordinated in their blue and green ensembles. Games of chase, peek-a-boo and pretending to launch rockets! Endless enchantment with the simplest parts of nature and enjoying the beauty of nature along the river. Even though we had to make a last minute change to our original session location because of the Columbia Veteran’s Day parade, I think that this dear family was just destined for another family session on the river — and the Columbia Canal and Riverfront Park never disappoints!
I’ve often mentioned how much I love being able to photograph the same families year after year, and this family has been in front of my camera the longest! Nora is one of my dearest friends from our time at Converse, and I always look forward to her message that she and Jalal want to schedule family photos again! Though I’m fortunate enough that we’re able to get together a few times a year to catch up, one of my absolute favorite things is getting to chase these two silly boys on session day to capture their sweet, curious personalities!
More than that, I love documenting the sweet parent-and-child moments because they’re the easiest to miss in the craziness of day-to-day life.
